Triathlon attracts the Alphas. So it's not surprising to see CEOs, businessmen and entrepreneurs don the trisuits and test their limits in a triathlon race. One triathlon team that fits in this mold is Team Megawide. Composed mainly of leaders in their industries, Team Megawide members work hard and play even harder.

This June 11, seven members of Team Megawide will take on one of the hardest races any triathlete can do, the Century Tuna Ironman Subic Philippines 2023. This race is known as the full distance–3.8kms of swim, followed by a 180 bike ride and finish off with a full marathon (42kms). Factor in the infamous Subic heat, then this race is a challenge only a few dare to take on.

The Magnificent Seven will be led by the team's Head Coach, Mervin Santiago. Mervin was the fastest Filipino in the Ironman World Championships held in Kona, Hawaii last year. Team Captain Alex Isip, a multi-finisher of Ironman races will try and add another one in his race resume. Completing the crew are Jiffy Chua, Manny Mondero, Jayvee Cabochan and Steven Sy.
Aside from this seven, other members will be racing the half-Ironman distance and the relay race.
Team Megawide is sponsored by Megawide, Alex Car Restoration, Makita, Trek, On Cloud and Rudy Project. It is a 36-strong team composed of Alex Isip, Angel Ancheta, Bojie Lazaro, Chadwick Tsai, Cho Vergara, David Bucad, Dan Co, Erich Taca, Felix Mariñas, Gon Belza, Jayvee Cabochan, Jerick Santos, Jiffy Chua, Joseph Pedrosa, Manny Mondero, Masashi Watanabe, Mico Torres, Nory Hizon, Paul Palattao, Philip Bucad, Richard Santiago, Sandy Syjuco, Steven Sy, William Lu, Michelle Santiago, Sherwin dela Paz, Cesar Tarroza, George Reig, Julius Co, Yay Hizon, Angelo Panopio, Julius Panopio, James Santiago, Emerson Lee, Jojo Aldeguer, Edilberto dela Cruz Jr.
